Lorex cameras are popular. They are widely distributed and easy to buy. They offer a wide range of cameras and video storage solutions ranging from PoE cameras to NVRs. They are affordably priced and offer remote viewing via a suite of apps. 

However, Lorex cameras are not as robustly constructed as some commercial-grade equipment. Especially when placed outdoors or in areas with high duty cycles, Lorex cameras may suffer from short lifespans. Short warranty periods will generally require purchasing new equipment. 

Not all new Lorex equipment works with prior generations. Backward compatibility is not a guarantee. Lorex does not provide engineering support and troubleshooting support is generally limited to help articles or third-party content.
